Dana Shultz is Heart of Florida Health Centers CFO. Dana oversees all aspects of the health centers finances, including development and management of budgets, financial reporting, accounting and disbursements, decision support, accounts receivable, financial management and planning, and reporting to the Heart of Florida’s finance committee and board of directors. Schultz brings to the health center nearly three decades of financial management experience in the private, public and nonprofit sectors, with a focus on developing policies and procedures to improve performance and productivity. Her extensive experience as CFO within the healthcare field, specifically with community health centers, makes her well-versed in healthcare reimbursement financing as well as state and federal accounting regulations. She has demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, measuring, and continually improving policies, procedures, and control systems to ensure a continuously sound financial structure.
Born in Topeka, Kansas, Dana spent fifteen years serving as CFO at three different community health centers before moving to Key West, Florida. She served as CFO and Chief Executive Director for Rural Health Network in Key West from 2015 before joining Heart of Florida in June 2017.
After earning a BS in Accounting from Sterling College and an MBA from Emporia State University, she received her CPA from the State of Kansas in 2000.
When away from the office, Dana can be found spending time with her husband or at the gym.
