Keya Chalk Walker began her nursing career in 2007. She obtained her associate degree in nursing at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in Orangeburg, SC. Keya relocated to Ocala after becoming a travel RN. During this time, she graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ with her bachelor’s degree in 2014. She then completed her master’s degree at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2020. Keya brings over a decade of nursing experience practicing in Primary Care at Heart of Florida caring for patients in all stages of life. She is passionate about helping her community through medicine and serving those in need. In her free time, Keya enjoys serving at her local church, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
HFHC received HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
This entity receives HRSA Health Center Program grant funding under 42 U.S.C. § 254b and has been deemed a Public Health Service employee for purposes of certain liability protections, including Federal Tort Claims Act coverage, under 42 U.S.C. § 233(g)-(n).
