Deborah Sarmiento, PharmD A South Florida native, she is a healthcare professional driven by a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Her passion for the field was shaped by personal experience—witnessing a close relative’s illness and the lack of empathy and support they received during treatment.

Growing up in a lower-income community and experiencing prejudice firsthand further strengthened her dedication to advocacy and equitable care. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and returned to Florida to remain close to family while continuing to serve her community.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys swimming, maintaining her greenhouse, and caring for her various animals alongside her fiancé
