Matt Clay Mr. Clay is originally from Michigan and received his Bachelor of Science Degree-Industrial Technology Education Degree and Master of Science-Education Technology Degree from Western Michigan University.

He was employed with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians for 8 years as Training and Development Specialist, Director of Information Technology and later as Executive Director of Pokagon Health Services, prior to his CEO position with Eastern Shore Rural Health System.

As CEO for Eastern Shore Rural Health System, Inc., he oversaw the operations of 8 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) offering: medical care, dental care, behavioral health care, pharmacy services, community outreach, health education and wellness programs. Managing a $37MM budget, 10 direct reports (C-Level) and 325+ staff members with over 115K patient visits annually.

Matt has been active on many boards and committees at the federal, state, and local levels. He has led special projects as needed, including construction, process improvement and modernization efforts.

Matt and his wife Julia have five children. He enjoys spending time with his family and woodworking.
