PRESS RELEASE: Heart of Florida Health Center Awarded Grant

Ocala, FL, September 21, 2016 – Heart of Florida Health Center (HFHC), is a recipient of a supplemental funding award to invest in Health Information Technology.  

 Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced a total of a $4 million awarded to forty-six Florida health centers for IT enhancements.  HFHC was one of those forty-six health centers receiving $72,245.

“These awards will allow health center to deliver higher quality of care to patients and spend health care dollars in a smarter way,” said Jim Macrae, HRSA acting Administrator.

 “These dollars will help fund staff training to improve efforts to share and use information to support better decisions,” said Rich Mutarelli, CEO.
