PRESS RELEASE: Heart of Florida Health Center Appoints New Chief Executive Officer
Ocala, FL, December 19, 2017 – Heart of Florida Health Center, (HFHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Ulmer as Chief Executive Officer. He will assume responsibilities on 3 January 2018 and will succeed Rich Mutarelli.
Jamie is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Rural Health Services, Inc. in Aiken, South Carolina. During that time, he oversaw all services, activities, and operations of the Organization including the restructuring of the Business Development and Community Outreach Departments, Behavioral Health and Psychiatry Tele-Health Program, and an expansion of healthcare with a new Dental Program.

Mr. Ulmer is a retired United States Army Medical Service Corps officer with over 24 years of service and multiple combat tours. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his tour in Iraq. He has a dual Master of Arts Degree from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science from South Carolina State University. He has served as the Fort Jackson, SC Installation Public Health Administrator and the South Carolina State Government Emergency Medical Services for Children Public Health Administrator. While serving in the Armed Forces, he was an Executive/Operations Officer and Director of Human Resources.
Jamie is married to Bethany and they have three girls Ahzia, Sasha, and Carrington.
