Heart of Florida Health Center COVID-19 Vaccine Event

Ocala, FL, January 7, 2020 – Heart of Florida Health Center, (HFHC) is hosting a COVID-19 Event for the 65 and older community this Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 8a-4p at its Main Location on 2553 E. Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.

“The ability to provide these services to our community aligns with our mission, not only to help the most vulnerable, but all the residents of Marion County. We are proud to be a contributor with the other quality healthcare providers in Ocala, says Jamie Ulmer, CEO.

HFHC began giving vaccines to healthcare providers, staff, and frontline workers on Tuesday, January 5th, giving over 1000 vaccines. HFHC in partnership with the Florida Department of Health has also offered and performed almost 10,000 COVID-19 tests since the start of the pandemic.

Dr. Tabatha Downey MD, CMO of Heart of Florida Health Center, states “I am pleasantly surprised of the enthusiastic interest and response in getting the vaccine; the first day we provided over 400 vaccines. I am more than thrilled that HFHC have the resources to give the vaccine to those that want it.”
